(GRAPHIC) Ghana Army Captain stoned, burnt & killed mistaken for a robber

Dusturbing news reaching us from Ghana says, in an instance of instant jungle justice gone wrong, residents of Boase in the Central Region are reported to have stoned, burnt and killed captain Maxwell Mahama of the Ghana Armed Forces in a mob action.

Captain Maxwell Mahama is said to be with the 5th Infantry Battalion (5BN) at Burma Camp in Accra but was on detachment duties at Denkyira Boase in the Upper Denkyira.

West District of the Central Region when the dastardly act happened.

Residents having been at the receiving end of varied robbery raids had grown weary and so when Captain Mahama had gone for an early morning jogging in civilian clothes accompanied by his gun, curious women who saw the gun raised the alarm he could be an armed robber.

The Assembly Member of the area is said to have then mobilized youth leading the charge to hurl offensive objects at the officer.

Having come to their senses that the man they had just murdered was no robber but indeed a military man, the youth are reported to be fleeing the town in droves to avoid the deadly fate which awaits them when military persons visit the town.
Captain Mahama’s body has since been conveyed to a heath facility. He is survived by a wife and two children.

Since the atrocious act, well-meaning Ghanaians have expressed outrage on social media demanding that the culprits who conspired to expire this fine officer and family man be apprehend and made to face the full wrath of the state. Meanwhile condolences continue to pour in urging the wife to be strong in this difficult time.

RIP Gallant one. This is sad.

Color-Blind Highschooler Makes Millions Selling Custom Socks Online

17-year-old Brennan Agranoff started his custom sock business in middle school, with a small loan he got from his parents. He has so far sold over $1 million worth of socks online in the last four years and is now planning to get hiswacky socks into retail stores as well.

But the boy didn’t pitch the business idea to his most likely investors – his parents – immediately. Instead he spent six months researching things like digital printing machinery and technology and drawing up a business plan. Only when he had everything figured out did he approach his parents about a loan. ” “They thought the concept was a little out there,” Brennan recently told CNN Money , but he kept pushing, and eventually received a $3,000 loan to start his company.

HoopSwagg started out in the Agranoff family garage. Brennan asked his parents to buy “as many white athletic socks as they could get from Dick’s Sporting Goods,” and he started working on original designs. The teen didn’t let the fact that he was colorblind stop him, and has so far come up with over 200 original designs, which range from goofy (a melting ice cream cone) to funky (a spoof of the infamous Portland International Airport carpet) and abstract.

Business was slow the first year, but then Brennan Agranoff started pushing his brand heavily on social media, leveraging both his social circle of friends and also targeting a group of online influencers to help promote HoopSwagg products.

Orders soon started coming in in large numbers, and HoopSwagg became a popular brand among custom sock enthusiasts.

As business started booming, Brennan’s parents built a 1,500- square-foot building on their property for production, warehousing and shipping, and his mother became a full-time HoopSwagg employee. They now get around 100 orders every day, and that number is only growing to grow as Agranoff plans to expand into arm sleeves and ties, and get his products into retail stores. Right now, his designs can be found on the official HoopSwagg website, Amazon and eBay.

Four years after starting his business, Brennan Agranoff has sold over $1 million worth of his original socks, acquired one of his main competitors, adding its 300 designs to his collection and got into custom printed shoelaces as well, all while balancing school, house chores and his social life. And he says he loved every minute of it.

Brennan has never taken a business class in his life, but says he has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, buying items at garage sales and selling them on eBay when he was just 8 years old.

Young Brennan

“So really, I’ve been learning how to do this for a while. Especially today, with all the information available on the internet, you can’t be too young to learn how to be an entrepreneur,” the 17-year-old says.

Pause and imagine what how few years from would look like, if you start something this very moment!

Banky W’s Emotional Letter To Fiancée Would Bring You to Tears

Dear Susu,

We crossed paths 2 or 3 times since 2012, but I wasn’t payingenough attention. Destiny was staring me right in the face and I was too caught up in my own hustle and paper chase, to know it. In June 2015 however, God brought you my way again, and this time, I really SAW you. I was smitten by your grace, aura, and beauty. So smitten infact, that even though I didn’t get to say a word to you that day (because you were seated far across the room), I immediately called my best friend @ captdemuren and told him I’d found my next girlfriend. LOL.

I asked one or two people about you.. your manager Isioma, who I’d worked with previously, and then I did some research myself. Googled you, stalked your instagram.. the whole 9 yards, and the more I found out, the more you seemed like a breath of fresh air.

Now, I personally don’t like being “hooked up”, so I decided to approach you myself by sliding into your DM a few days later.

Introduced myself, made some silly attempts to make you laugh, told you I planned to become your biggest fan, and asked if we could be friends. Thank God you laughed at my silly jokes, and thank God you graciously agreed to becomemy friend. At the time, I was COMPLETELY lying about only wanting to be friends, by the way.. but I figured it was a safeplace to start.

Since that DM, I’ve spoken to you pretty much every single day for almost 2 years. Sometimes, in the morning, at night and in between. We clicked instantly, and you quickly became one of my favourite people on earth, and one of my closest friends. It got to the point where my day wouldn’t quite feel right without speaking to you. I needed your friendship. I needed, and still need, the bond we share. It completes me.

I knew pretty early in the process that I wanted to spend forever with you. Prayed about it fervently. But it took you FOREVER (okay fine.. maybe a year and a half or so) to see things my way. But I kinda knew all along.. I was just waiting for you to catch up.

Banky W and Adesua Etomi In that time, I got engaged to you in my “Made For You” music video… and then by coincidence, we both got cast to get married in “The Wedding Party” movie.. but all the while we were the very best of friends. I guess, in our case, real life will now imitate art.

I’m not sure what the future will bring, but I’m completely sure that I am ready to face it with you by my side. I pray that God continues to build me into the kind of man that you deserve. I love you Susu.. I feel safe and at peace with you. You mean the world to me. Thank you for agreeing to be my lover and best friend.

Thank you for agreeing to be my wife.PS: The timing of this may make some people think this is promo for another video, or a movie. It isn’t.

Ironically, everyone who has seen us together in art, or in life, always insists that we have amazing chemistry. I guess you can say we have been hiding in plain sight. I fell in love with an Actress. Now my life is a movie.

In February of 2017, I asked Adesua Tolulope Oluwaseun Etomi to be my wife. She said Yes.
